Laser Vision Correction with LASIK

Welcome to the latest exciting alternative to glasses and contacts.  LASIK brings together the science of the Excimer Laser and the skill of the surgeon to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. LASIK is a brief outpatient procedure that could significantly lessen your dependence on corrective lenses.

Using the Excimer Laser, the LASIK procedure reshapes the cornea with laser technology (place your cursor over the "eye" image above).  LASIK is used to treat low to high amounts of nearsightedness, astigmatism, and farsightedness.  LASIK combines the computer controlled precision of the Excimer Laser with the benefits of another type of refractive surgery called Lamellar Keratoplasty (a procedure where an instrument known as a microkeratome makes a small flap in the outer layer of the cornea).
